Annual Camp 2008

So awesome that I gave this blog a relevant title. Well actually that's kinda lame.

Annual is a 10 day camp with 5 days of hiking and is one of the main reason why you should join cadets. Heaps of fun, especially with lots of friends.

We left on a Thursday, at 7:00 which wasn't that early and boarded the bus with our massive shitloads of packs and whatnot. Bus trip was mostly uneventful. I spent most of the time reading and playing poker on Raymond's mobile. We did have a stop at a service station and I bought pancakes at Hungry Jacks. I got ripped off because I only got two pancakes while everyone else got three so I tried to compensate by taking a lot of their sugar packets.

We stopped at someplace and I got ripped off again, buying a chicken sandwich for $4.50. Oops.

When we got to the barracks, we got into our rooms, which was pretty cool because we got individual rooms. The first thing we did was PT where we did some warm-ups then this pretty fun obstacle course. That was pretty cool except my arms felt like they would fall off at the monkey bars and I was surprised at how hard it was to dive through a hoop.

Food there was great. I can't really remember what we did at night, but I remember four guys on a bed and talking to Dennis until 12. We had this weapons simulation thing the next day, which was sort of fun. The guy teaching me how to use a gun was sorta weird and told me to treat the gun like a girl. Most of us got a fail except for a few pro people and the seniors and officers.

Afterwards we stayed at Mt Beauty. We found a supermarket and I got instant noodles because I forgot to pack them for the trek. We also borrowed Blade at the movie rental store and watched it aftewards. It was a pretty awesome movie if you're into exploding vampires, crazy action, over-the-top special effects and general badassness. I spent the night playing lots of Tap Defense and got to level 31, which Raymond still can't beat. :D

The trek started the next day and after less than an hour of walking, we reached this waist deep river we couldnt cross so we took another trail to this area with vehicle area and had lunch there. Afterwards, this guy that was walking with us drove us all in groups of four to one of our overnight destinations, Cope hut. That took absolutely aaaages because it was a one and a quarter hour drive there and back and there were around 18 of us. We got really cold in the rain and wind and were really thankful that the hut had a fire.

The next four days were pretty normal. The scenery was quite nice if repetitive. Pretty much this sorta terrain the whole time. I realised that it wasn't so cold if I wore a jumper and rain protection and that made life a lot more comfortable. To pass the time we played Uno and poker a lot. I actually didn't argue with Vincent Tran that much and we didn't have a single argument in the morning about who got out of the tent first.

Conversation hits really desperate lows while camping. You often find yourself discussing stuff like which campsite has the best pit toilets and how many times you've taken a dump in the past few days. Fascinating stuff.

Having said that funny stuff does happen. Arthur somehow burnt his jumper while cooking something and countless people dropped cups of boiling water.

At some point we were talking about buying a roast chicken when we got back to civilisation and Arthur said "Fuck the chicken." So from now on we call Arthur a chicken fucker.

Oh yeah and there was this
place called Mt. Niggerhead. Haha that's funny.

The last day of the trek was extremely easy. We walked for less than two hours I think. The river that got the other sections soaked to about crotch height turned out to be a tiny little creek because of the fine weather for two of the days.

Once back at Mt Beauty, we did a lot of stuff. We made lots of nachos, rented Blade 2 and 3 and made pasta. Blade is probably the most badass character ever. Which is probably why the third Blade isn't as awesome as the first two, because he doesn't kick as much ass.

After Mt Beauty, we stayed at the Canberra Carotel. The same place we stayed at for Canberra camp. We spent time at the War Memorial and at the civic centre. Back at the carotel, we played a lot of poker with Uno cards as chips and played volleyball.

At night we all cracked up and couldn't stop laughing for some reason. The whole room was really high.

The next day we had lunch at Chinatown and we went to this Korean place (v. expensive) and ate the barbeque stuff.

At the carotel again, we swam and afterwards had a talent quest, which was compulsory. I was part of this monkey show where we all acted like monkeys and did stuff like monkey tetris where we tesselated. :)

At night, we made jesus juice, which was black coffee with a lot of sugar. We tried to get high again but it didn't work so we played poker again.

We took the bus back the next day and I finally finished the book I was reading. Once again, that was pretty uneventful but at least I didn't get ripped off on the way back.

That was annual. I'll upload photos if I ever get them.

Will drive you MAD

Yay school's almost done.

I really like the summer, minus the creepy crawlies that start to come out of their little holes and stuff.

But nevertheless the delightfully stifling heat and humidity really makes me happy.

Christmas is coming and my family may be putting up a christmas tree for the first time in a while. Hooray!

Once again, I found myself excited about Annual, but now its only 2 days away.

Everybody lies.

I started watching a lot of House. Finished watching the 4th season.

It's really really good and almost makes me want to be a doctor, though I don't think the job's actually that interesting and the doctor's probably aren't that hot.

Annual camp is coming up, which is awesome because.

Well I don't know. In theory, it should suck since it's just a lot of walking, tenting and living in cheap caravan parks for 10 days. I guess it just proves the fact that anything's fun if you do it with friends.

So annual camp is something I'm looking forward to.

Raindrops keep falling on my head

I just turned off all my music and opened my window to listen to the sound of the thunderstorm outside.

Much better.

I'm starting with the ________ in the _________.

As you may or may not know, me, Dennis and at least 7 other people sung Man in the Mirror for performer's night.

I guess we did alright, though nerves and stuff made me sing a little bit offkey and forget my part at times.

Anyway, right now I'm packing for term 4 biv for cadets, which should be fun. I packed a shitload of food because there's so much free space in my pack.

Also, if there's any people out there, who are suffering like me, from flash game addiction, then go to this site, where you will be warmly welcomed by fellow bored children of the internet.

Love lifts us up where we belong

Crap.

I think I'm addicted to mushy old love songs.

My excuse is that they're very catchy.

This woman is yours now. I've paid my whore.

I recently watched Moulin Rouge- something I have procrastinated considering how I enjoyed 'El Tango de Roxanne'. It was, as I expected, brilliant in cinematography, artistic design and story.

Despite warnings from a certain friend of mine, I have acquired contact lenses. The magic of lucid vision without the hindrance of glasses is quite wonderful. I have been warned however that this convenience comes at the cost of a risk of eye infection that may destroy or damage my eyesight. In this safety paranoid 21st century we live in, I expect this simply means that there is a miniscule danger of injury if the lenses are handled roughly. I find this notion of danger almost romantic, though this feeling of grandeur is juxtaposed by the fact that I am simply referring my daily and insertion and removal of my contacts.

Excuse my peculiar verbosity. I merely feel like being a dickhead to prolong my abstinence from study.

ba ba ba ba ba ba ba da booooooom doooo doooo

Yay it's Halloween soon.

OOGIE BOOGIE HAWHAWHAW!!

I think people should make a bigger deal out of halloween.

Like, go crazy with decorations and everything, like they do with Christmas.

It's stupid because stores (I think) have already started selling Christmas stuff.

They should be selling Halloween decorations instead so everyone can cover their houses in creepy jack-o-lanterns, instead of spending money on boringly colourful christmas lights.

Anyway here's a halloween version of my weener man. The Halloweener. :D

The Wild Sex Adventures of Mr Penis and Mr Anus (plus The Sad Tragedy of the Fatal Abstinence of Mr Gold Was)

Jeffery and I made that story up one word at a time at camp on the bus.

If you wanna know the rest of the story, Mr Anus also gets the same disease from the vaginas and dies on Mr Penis' grave. How touching.

Camp was ok, I guess. Like everyone else, I slept less than an hour because my bed got stolen at night.

As for the rest of my week, I hope I did good for my ag. Though mostly I've been gaping at my huge new tv. :)

It's been like 3 days and I still haven't gotten over its size.

Your Such A n00B! Huh?

Its been a really long time since i've blogged and Vincent has been telling me to blog so i will blog.

Ever talked to someone in real life and done something nice to you and they've replied with T.Y accentuating each letter?

Ever said a joke and had someone scream L.O.L in your face?

WHY DO PEOPLE DO THAT

I know words such as lol and noob have been accepted in society BUT PLEASE YOUR NOT MAKING IT ANY BETTER BY SPELLING IT OUT FOR US

Even worse are those that SAY THE FRIGGIN EMOTICONS like XD and so on, this is why some people just have no facial expression anymore and you cannot tell if their angry or happy unless they tell you it in words

I mean the other day i told my dad TOP JOKE after he tried to do something funny but failed and he thought it was a compliment and was encouraged to continue what he was doing.

On another note i have been to canberra and back.

I dont feel like talking about it now because i cant be bothered to and will maybe blog about it once i get some pictures.

Oh yes girls are like M&M's probably one of the most truthful and awe-inspiring videos you will ever watch.

They are different on the outside but on the inside their all the same. Yay you've learnt something new dont be racist, if you would eat a red and a blue M&M you can marry a red and a blue woman.

Unless your weird and only eat the yellow M&M's in a packet, in which case you can go screw yourself for wasting so many M&M's.

I've realised i enjoy videos that explain phenomena like this, Neil introduced me to yellow fever which explained the reason why white guys always get the asian chick buh never the other way around.

IT IS BECAUSE ASIAN GUYS HAVE A VERY VERY SMALL

(long pause)

CONFIDENCE!

On a final note; JEFFEREY AND VINCENT if you two wanna write a story about penis' and vaginas do it in your own fucking blog and not in our cbox.

My karma ran over my dogma

Yaaay went to beach today with whole bunch of people. It was really fun though we spent the whole time getting smashed around by the waves and digging random holes in the sand. Walking an hour to fetch pizzas was sorta lame cos I couldn't find my shoes and got lots of bindis in my feet but oh well.

I'm sunburnt right now, which I only realised while I was showering and the water felt really painful on my back. But at least it was sunny, despite the thunderstorm forecast. Thanks Pop for organising the whole thing.

2 blogs in one day :O

Simple Plan have the world's worst song lyrics. All they do is whine and whinge a lot.

Example of typically whiny Simple Plan lyrics:
"And I feel like
I'm living the worst day
Over and over again
"

(from a song called 'Worst Day Ever')

Even the title's are annoying like 'God Must Hate Me' and 'Me Against the World'.

Though I gotta admit their songs can be nice if you ignore the lyrics. Sorta catchy and typical punk rock stuff but they get boring when you realise all of them sound the same.

Aaaanyway now that I got that out of the way, I'm gonna write about Bert and Ernie from Sesame Street.

Aren't they sooo awesome? :O

I was thinking of how a lot of shows have their own Bert and Ernie.

Like Friends has Joey and Chandler, who (in the beginning of the series) are two roomates who have funny situations that aren't much different to Bert and Ernie's. Joey is Ernie, the immature, slightly stupid one and Chandler is Ernie, the dry, sarcastic one. They're both roomates and there is a very slight resemblance between the two pairs.

And they both receive a lot of homosexual references/gay jokes.

And the two guys in Two and a Half Men look a LOT like Bert and Ernie, though I haven't watched the show so I don't know if they act like Bert and Ernie.

Correction

CORRECTION MAINSTREAM ROCK IS JUST =.="

like simple plan, they were so good, then they just went bad

and its a matter of opinion nyway xD

JASON MRAZ IS AWESOME =D

I Love Children

Probably because you can't have awkward moments with them.

Or maybe because they laugh at my jokes.

Or maybe even because I can be confident that I am talking to someone with a penis smaller than mine.

And I'll have to disagree with Dennis about mainstream music.

Jason Mraz has an awesome singing voice and he's mainstream.

And lots of old music relies on synthesised sounds.

On a totally unrelated note I played Mario Kart Wii yesterday, which is a significant thing because I play the DS version like crazy. I tried using the steering wheel but its really really hard. The idea of using a steering wheel to play Mario Kart doesn't make sense anyway.

Good Old Songs =D

Yay i was rumaging through cd's today and found a lion king album, aladdin album and TWO POKEMON ALBUMS!

Don't you just love old music, back then music relied on the singer being good not all this synthsiser main stream crap.

Well just a quick post xD will be listening to music now.

yayayay

I like, actually got out of the house the past two days.

On Saturday I went to the city with a family friend and I watched Eagle Eye. Yay. I watched Transformers yesterday too so I've been getting a lot of Shia LaBeouf.

Anyway afterwards we were just hanging around Market City, which was FULL of fobs. There were like cosplayers with Japanese robes and wigs and everything. (well, they were either cosplayers or had a crazy jap fashion sense)

And yesterday I went swimming, like swimming laps not playing around in the pool. Though I did do that afterwards. We played that game where you see who can hold their breath the longest and I won as usual and the lifeguard thought I was dead.

Since Dennis put a comic strip in his blog, I'll put one too.

The Warmth of the Kiddies Pool

I went to olympic park yesterday =D
It was boiling hot and so everyone decided to go to aquatic centre early except for me james n jero
And we missed out on the 60c discount for groups but oh well
When we first got there we threw around a ball for a very long time and then i learnt how to roll in the pool =D
We then went to the kiddies pool but it was so warm........
Then i found it it was heated =D and not what everyone else had told me
Then we went into the whirlpool and then the slide
Then the obstacle course =.=" we waited like an hour to go on it twice
But me n sonia never made it through =( everyone else did buh xD
Then to maccas and subway we went after paul and neil spent a very long time doing their hair
Everyone was eating and then neil bought a soft serve and told us to wait until it fully melted, obviously someone knocked it down by accident (sonia) and then we left to play chess at one of those massive boards
It was ppl who made it past the course vs. ppl who didn
We lost buh only cus they took back sooo many moves >.< Then we kicked a round a ball and carmo and the twins left After that we went to this massive fountain thingy mabob and were gonna run through it But then paul came and his awesomeness made it stop =.=" So we mucked around in the playground for like an hour until it came back on We also met this little kid called matthew who owned sonia And i ran into a pole trying to pass the ball to neil =.=" And paul and neil hid my shoes somewhere in the fountain buh i get them in the end =D And we just mucked around for like hours and then left when the sun started to go down
The End.

boomboombam

I feel extremely insecure right now.

About being a male asian teenager and sucking at FPS. D:

I just went to Raymond's house today and everyone was playing CS and Halo.

And I did... pretty badly.

I sorta sucked at Guitar Hero too.

If there's any asian guys out there who also suck at video games, please tell me.

howdisappointing

Well I didn't experience a day of 'real' work today. Oh well, it was really hot today so it probably woulda been terrible.

Pretty average holiday day today.

I almost got a haircut but thought better of it, considering my bad history with haircuts. Though I probably will need to cut it soon before it starts getting terribly long.

Hehe no terrible movies or characters for me to get annoyed at today.

The Great Dennis =D

I watched the prestige last night courtesy of N.Y it is the best movie ever created O_O

It is just so tricksey and its got batman vs. wolverine xD

I stayed up so late watching it buh so im kinda sleepy =.="

You have to watch it anyone out there it is the best movie in the world =D

On another note i got a really dodgey haircut in Auburn today.

The guy was like how long and im like not too short because you walk around Auburn and everyone has these bald haricuts. BUT he actually gives me no too short and my mum starts lecturing me on how we have to go back to him sooner and on a yearly basis how much extra it costs =.="

So now i look like a fool and my hair is too long to be spikey buh too short to be hanging down.
____________
I___________I yeah it kinda looks like a rectangle xD

To end i shall use a quote from the best movie in the world =D

Every magic trick consists of three parts or acts;
The first act is called the pledge, the magician shows you something ordinary
The second act is called the turnover, the magician takes the ordinary something and makes it do something extraordinary
But you wouldnt clap yet because making something dissapear isnt enough, you have to bring it back
Thats why every magic act has a third act, the hardest part, the part we call the prestige

blahblahblah

Wall-e looks alright. Apparently they did a really good job animating his eyes.

I saw that thing on TV too, about best movie characters of all time. I don't usually watch current affairs shows cos they're full of a lot of bullshit but yeah, that bit caught my attention.

They ranked Harry Potter 15th and I was like "Whaaaa-?" and my little sister said "Yeah, I know he should be ranked better, like 3rd or something"

O.O

He shouldn't be there at all, he's a pretty boring character, he just gets into interesting situations.

Aaaanyway, I'm gonna move into a new house next year, which we're gonna build after we knock down the house that's already there.

You'd think demolishing a house would be easy, like get one of those huge ball and chain things and bulldozers and stuff.

But they actually dismantle all the boards and stuff and it takes a lot of work. My mum got pretty worked up about how I should join them and find out how a day of REAL work feels like. (pfft)

Pretty excited about the new house, because my dad designed it. :O Thought it means I take like 20 minutes to walk to school. No more running back home from school when I realise I forgot something anymore, I guess.

Oh well, that's all for today I guess.

Random

Everyone watched wall-e yesterday =O

Eagle eye was prolly tonnes better from what i hear

And i red in the newspaper Heath Ledger's peformance as the Joker was considered the second best movie character in history. Did that make sense? First was Indianna Jones, meaning YOU HAVE TO WATCH THE DARK KNIGHT or indianna jones

God i woke up at 11 today just to go back to sleep at 2 wake up at 6:30 to have dinner and here i am now =.="

Tuesday, September 30, 2008

yeah, that's funny

That's hilarious Dennis.

I wish there were more lebs where I lived.

In fact, I just wish there were more non-Asians in Carlingford :/

I was gonna watch Dark Knight again today but they're only showing it in Gold Class or really late at night. :/

Oh well, maybe sometime in imax. :D

I might not watch a single movie in the cinemas this holiday, which is a first in ages.

Nothing looks really interesting.

Disaster movie looks like total shit.

http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=Tnn2-KtZ4W4

The guys who make all those spoof movies are really retarded, especially how they take themselves seriously and talk about how they think about character development and storylines.

Really now, look at this.

http://www.mtv.com/movies/news/articles/1550211/story.jhtml

Makes you wanna shoot something.

Its got a timer, its a bomb! or it could just be a coffee machine

Yay i went out to parra to watch Eagle Eye today, it was the best :D

Greater union was filled with asians everywhere, gosh they love tuesday.

Well there was even this group of curry chicks book the WHOLE ROW in front of is it was like two girls were sitting in their row and their like we're sorry this entire row is ours. it sounded soooo cool. then i'm like thank god their short and one of them turns around and gives me a death glare =.="

The ads took ages buh at least the movie was pro

And on the way home there were these two lebs sitting behind me and their conversation was hilarious xD.

L1: hey man you know ali?
L2: yeah, i know ali the one with the red car?
L1: no the other ali?
L2: oh the one with the chubby girlfriend
L1: NO, the ali that we met last week
L2: OH that ali yeah i know that ali

and then they had to get off a granville wat a shame XD

that will be my story of the day

yay i somehow got cbox to work :D

wooo

I'm listening to this huge playlist I got of movie/video game themes I have right now.

Like, inspirational battle themes.

Makes me wanna go do something heroic.

Being me, that probably means playing video games.

ahahahahaha

ahahahah
hohohoho
hehehehe
wooohooo

Hello.

I'm Vincent.

Nice to meet you.

Unlike Dennis,
I am NOT bored.

Boredom only exists if you admit it does.

There is always something to do. :D

Like today, I went around looking for something I lost.

But I realised I never had it in the first place.

Hooray!

A Blog Is Born

It seems like everyone is getting a blog so me and vincent are gonna make one. Also, im bored during the holidays and have nothing to do. It looks really shit right now because i don't know how to use a blog yet but in time it will look better. In this blog we will probably be telling stories and interesting stuff that has happened on top of our thoughts and ideas on random things. And i might even get vincent back into writing his walter stories again.

So first story, yesterday my rents told me to go out and take a walk because im sooooooo unfit. I walk over to my cousins house and on the way there i see two lebs unloading some stuff from their car. At first it seems normal then suddenly i chicken comes out xD. And their chasing it around and it goes onto the street and they get honked it was HILARIOUS XD. I wonder what they were doing with a chicken, first thoughts were illegal cock fighting.

Now today i'm cruising about the regents park area and i see this muffler store in the industry area. And in the front they have this like logo guy? Its a dude made out of mufflers and you know what they called him? MUFF MAN XDDDDD. What a funny name!

Yes those shall be my stories i tell today.

hmmmmm nxt time i shall tell everyone how the blog title came to be, or maybe i should let vincent do that

Cya!
