TUESDAY

This is shaping up to be one ball-squeezer of a week. Two English assessments and Prefect elections. I don't even know which to be worried most about.

Well anyway, I'm sure you didn't come here to get stressed. Just today Ceyon showed me a video (link) of people playing this multiplayer flash game. Watch it. Seriously it's the funniest shit I've seen (on the internet) in a long while.

Basically everyone is a mouse and you all race to the cheese and take it back to the hole. Sounds simple but with the introduction of obstacles, traps and shamans who create bridges etc, things get very funny, very fast. You can play the actual game here. Just make sure you join Salon 12 because that's where the English-speaking players are.

In other news:

I AM THE FUCKING CHAMPION WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

SATURDAY

I had Shakespeare Festival on Friday with Falko, Louie, Lindy and Tim. Our performance went really well, and the audience really liked it. We didn't have very high expectations so when everyone laughed at our jokes (even some we didn't think were funny), that felt very good. The other performances were outstanding, especially all the ones from Abbotsleigh, who pretty much won everything. Overall a pretty fun day.

A though occured to me yesterday that some television advertisements would need directors to create. I wondered who these advertisement directors were and whether they liked their job. It's hard to imagine someone graduating from film school and then deciding they want to direct TV commercials for a living. I mean some commercials are so beautifully shot you wonder how much creativity was spent making these things.

One very exceptional case of this is the Chanel No. 5 ad directed by Baz Luhrmann. This mother of all ads had a budget of US$42million and starred Nicole Kidman and Rodrigo Santoro (who played Xerxes in 300). It didn't make me really want to buy any Chanel No.5 though.

MONDAY

I had a read of the Cadet Annual Camp Expression of Interest note. We're going to be undertaking a track that goes around Mount Ngauruhoe, which was the volcano they used to shoot Mount Doom in Lord of the Rings. So in other words, this is where we're going for Annual Camp:

Looks fun :D If any cadets are reading this, we should all go on the hike as different members of the Fellowship.

Over the long weekend, apart from having a super fun Sunday, I managed to watch Memento and Juno. Both very different movies that are quite unique. Memento is about this guy who loses the ability to store new memories after witnessing his wife's murder. He tries to track down the man responsible for his wife's murder, getting around his condition by tattooing words on his body and keeping notes with him. There's a big twist at the end of the movie, which is cool because the plot travels backwards.

Juno was also a good movie but I don't feel like describing it.

SATURDAY

I got a new phone today! Originally, I just wanted a phone that I didn't have to charge every night. However, after looking at all kinds of brochures, I decided to get a Samsung HD Icon. That's kind of ironic because according to Cnet, battery life is one of that phone's weaker points. But I like the phone so whatever.

You may or may not know that there's this comic series I'm trying to finish called 'The Sandman'. I had a really dumb conversation with Andy and Lo-cao on what it was about. Dumb because the more I tried to explain it, the less sense it made.

They asked, "What's it about?"

So I answered, "It's about the Lord of Dreams, and the stuff that he does."

And then Edward gives me this wtf look.

"The Lord of Dreams. Well that's just great. What's he gonna do, give someone a nightmare?"

Well there's the page view statistics for the day (6th June) that I posted that picture of an attractive girl. Pretty cool :D

SUNDAY: Attractive Women

Heh. I was watching my uncle lazily flicking through a Target catalogue today and I noticed he stopped for an unusually long time on the page for ladies underwear. Either he was checking out the girls or he was interested in buying ladies underwear.

I realised that I do the same thing. If there's a picture of a good looking girl, no matter what I'm reading, I'll forget whatever I'm reading and look at it. Kind of reminds me of that line in musical. "Use picture of pretty girl. It always works." The guys who make ads for Evony Online followed that idea very closely.

So some other dumb stuff I did this week. I tried to call my mum and put the phone to my ear for quite sometime before I realised I hadn't pressed the dial button. The day after that I thought I forgot to pack my lunch, only realising I actually had after I bought something from the canteen.

Last night, I watched The Good, the Bad, the Ugly, which Louie has been insisting I watched for quite a while. I've always been put off by the 3 hour length so I finally set aside the time to watch it yesterday. It's a very good movie. There's an amazing finale and to properly describe why this movie is so good would take a lot of time.

To test my previously mentioned theory. I predict this picture will increase site views by at least 50%

Superheroes

When I'm waiting for my mum to go to sleep or take a shower so that i can do whatever i want, i usually spend my time on wikipedia. It's amazing the stuff that find there.

For example, did u know that there is a real life superhero who wears a wrestler mask, and instead of fighting corruption with violence, he uses his unique image to organize labour rallies and petitions?
And did you know there is a real life female superhero who patrols bars making sure that drunk women are not taken advantage of? Her utility belt includes items such as pepper spray, a cell phone, lipstick, a camera and Smarties for energy. She even has her own arch nemesis, Fantastico, a man who preys on drunk women.
Finally my personal favourite (although this one isnt real) is from the Underground Comedy Movie. He is Dickman and he dresses in a giant penis costume and defeats his enemies by squirting them with semen. I was actually surprised the movie wasn't directed by Edward Cong.

Office quote of the day: Season 6 has just ended so no more quotes until the next season (which is the last!)

That is all.
