WEDNESDAY
I have a problem with white-out. I always use it too much or too often. I can end up spending $100+ a year on white-out.

TUESDAY
If you're reading this and you're from Ruse (which you probably are, unless you're my sister), then you're probably looking for a way to waste time instead of studying. So here's the coolest new game from Kongregate!
Viricide is a pretty generic top-down asteroids. It's not that fun in the beginning but once you get further in, its quite addictive. You just want to keep upgrading.
That's all for now. In the meanwhile, good luck studying and stop being so mean to Justin Bieber.

FRIDAY
I'm going to take this opportunity to promote the (James Ruse) school library.
I don't know how many faithful readers of this blog know this, but our library has a kick-ass comic book (or if you prefer, graphic novel) collection. It's about time someone gave it some recognition.
There's volumes of all the greatest comic strips: Calvin and Hobbes, Garfield, Dilbert even a huge volume of Popeye strips. Hours of great light reading right there. There's also a lot of Tintin and Asterix.
Anyone looking for some quality graphic novels should look no further than the collection of Alan Moore's works. This guy is pretty much the most acclaimed comic book writer there is. The library has copies of Watchmen, V for Vendetta, The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, Tom Strong and The Killing Joke.
And let's not forget that the library owns the entire Sandman series. Unfortunately, I've only read the first volume but eagerly anticipate reading the other twelve or so. I'd recommend this series to anyone interested in reading a comic for the first time.
Last but not least, there's the superhero comics. There are quite a lot of Batman comics, though many of the volumes are frustratingly incomplete. For example, there's Volume 2 of Hush series but not Volume 1. Maybe someone borrowed it and never returned it. Anyway, Batman: Hush is a good place to start for anyone wanting to find out about the Batman mythology.
There's also a lot of manga but seriously, who the hell reads manga?

Dog Shit
So i was watching this documentary the other day and it was about the wonderful history of poo. Apparently one of the latest crazes now going on is decorating dog poo and claiming it to be art. Here's an example:

Flash Game Review: Sydney Shark
Sydney Shark
Holy shit! This is one of my favourite flash games that's come out this year. It's very fast paced and unfortunately doesn't have much replay value after 10 minutes or so but very good while it lasts.
And it's set in Sydney!
This game gets 4/5, mainly because you wouldn't play it more than 2 or 3 times.

Dilbert
I have recently been reading Dilbert comics. They're probably the best comic strips I've read (note comic strips, not comic books eg batman, superman etc.). It's like "The Office" except in comic form! Here's my favourite one so far:

The Road + The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
I watched The Road yesterday nite until around 1am. It was that good. The cinematography especially is really good. The whole thing is so bleak you sometimes wonder why they even bothered to film it in colour. The coolest part is when after you've watched an hour of constant gray there's comes a flashback that's filled with colour. It's like watching some uber cool special effect.
I also watched the good, the bad and the ugly a few days back which had a really pro beginning and end, but i didnt really like the middle parts.

FRIDAY
I've added a new comic to the list of webcomics I now read regularly: Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal (SMBC). Its pretty good and has been going since 2002. Don't know why its not as famous as Explosm.

Tim has entered the building !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yo, so I'm here to G this crib up. I'll post whenever something interesting happens.
Hopefully, my blogging won't die, like it did in yr9. loool. I hope when I'm older, i can look back at blog entries and RELIVE epic things that happened when we were young.
i have a feeling my presence in this blog now will bring an instant boom in readership numbers. It will also bring an incredibly huge female fanbase into this blog.
PEACE OUT A TOWN .

A (small) update
The Prestige
I just watched The Prestige again yesterday. It's probably one of the only films that can be even more satisfying once you watch it the second time and know the ending.
I also watched Gangs of New York which was alright but for some reason I don't really like Leonardo di Caprio (probably coz i was bored when i watched titanic as a little kid). But Daniel Day Lewis was pretty good.
Office quote of the day: No more until the 22nd of April because the office is having a break

Lord of the Rings
I just recently finished watching the entire Lord of the Rings trilogy and i must say it is THE BEST MOVIE TRILOGY EVER MADE!!!!
Here are some of my favourite scenes out of the whole trilogy:
Coolest scene: When Aragorn is crowned king and then when the hobbits bow to him he says "You bow to no one" and everyone bows to them. Also the battle of Helm's Deep and Battle of Pelennor Fields.
Funniest scene: When Frodo and Sam are at the top of the secret stairway and Frodo tells Sam to go home when theyre like 1000km away from home with no food. Also when Legolas pwns the huge elephant and then Gimli says it still counts as one.
Most HOLY SHIT scene: When The Witch King of Angmar comes out on his Nazgul and breaks Gandalf's staff.
Most annoying scene: When Frodo's at the edge of Mount Doom and then he decides to keep the ring. I mean, what the hell is wrong with you, you retard! You came all the way to Mount Doom and then decide your going to keep the ring? what the hell?!?!
Office Quote of the day: n Japan, heart surgeon. Number one. Steady hand. One day, yakuza boss need new heart. I do operation. But, mistake! Yakuza boss die. Yakuza very mad. I hide in fishing boat, come to America. No English, no food, no money. Darryl give me job. Now I have house, American car, and new woman. Darryl save life. My big secret: I kill yakuza boss on purpose. I good surgeon. The best!

WEDNESDAY: Saving Private Ryan, 12 Angry Men, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly
Faithful readers will notice two things about this post. You will first realise this is my first post in three days, which is quite a long time considering how often I've been posting for the past week. The second thing you will notice is the return of my old title system.
The two are actually related. I put off blogging because I couldn't think of appropriate titles for a blog post each time.
In the past three days, I watched three movies- Saving Private Ryan, 12 Angry Men and The Diving Bell and the Butterfly.Saving Private Ryan (for those who haven't seen it) is a WWII film set during the Normandy invasion. It focuses on a handful of soldiers given the special task of finding a Private Ryan to send home.
The remarkable thing about Saving Private Ryan was how long I kept thinking about it after watching. It was probably the last thing I thought about before I slept. All those flying body parts, streams of blood and crying soldiers really got to me. You see that stuff in a movie like Kill Bill and a movie like this, it's very different. In terms of how hard it grabbed emotions, which is probably the best way to rate a film on first viewing, this film is brilliant.
12 Angry Men follows a jury deciding on the innocence of a boy accused of murdering his father. Pretty much the whole movie takes place in a cramped, stuffy jury room so the only thing pushing the story forward is the dialogue. The fact that the story remains tight and riveting is a great achievement. The script makes it perfect for an adaptation to a play, which according to Wiki has been done.
I watched The Diving Bell and the Butterfly two years ago. The first time I watched it, I can't say I liked it that much. But I pretended to because it's an arthouse film about a man with a rare disease that received critical acclaim. I even took the idea of locked-in-syndrome for my Year 9 major work. Unfortunately, that didn't go very well.
Well the good news is I watched it again and I can safely say I really like the movie. The cinematography is fabulous. I'm surprised it didn't win an Oscar for it.
This post took a surprisingly long time to write (almost an hour, though I stopped a lot). Therefore be assured faithful readers that you won't see something like this again.

My Holiday Plans
People often ask each other what they plan to do in the holidays. I plan to watch the many movies I downloaded over the school term to watch on weekends but couldn't be bothered/didn't have time to do so.
I started yesterday, and watched Fight Club. It's pretty unique to most of the movies I've watched. The acting was awesome.
Now for a funny joke to end the post:
The body organs of someone's body are arguing over who's the real boss of the body.
"I control every part of the body. I give purpose and direction. I'm obviously the boss," argues Brain.
"I give pump blood around the body. I provide nutrients and give life. I'm the boss," protests Heart.
"Without me, you couldn't survive for five minutes. I'm the boss," declares Lungs.
Finally Anus pipes up. "I think I should be boss."
All the other parts laugh at the idea of Anus being the boss. Upset and annoyed, Anus closes himself up. Within days, the body became so full of shit that Brain, Heart and Lungs unanimously agreed that Anus should be boss.
The moral of the story is that the boss is always an asshole.

Easter
To answer Louie's post below:
Easter does not actually coincide with the date of Jesus' crucifixion and resurrection. It was created to occur alongside the four traditional pagan festivals in the middle of each season. The Christian festival calendar puts Easter during the spring festivals and Christmas during the winter festivals. Of course, because we live in the Southern Hemisphere, this is reversed for us.
So knowing this, the reason for using eggs and rabbots as symbols of Easter becomes clear. Easter is a celebration of new life. The rabbit, able to produce a litter of up to 12-13 babies within a gestation period of a month is an obvious symbol for new life. Same with the egg. I guess its a little weird for anthropomorphic rabbits to hand out eggs but that's beside the point.
I hope that answers your concerns Louie.

Easter
Why is it that we have the Easter bunny? I mean, rabbits have absolutely nothing to do with Easter. Was there a rabbit present at the birth of Jesus? Did Jesus have a pet rabbit? Did Jesus look like a rabbit? Probably not. And what's with Easter eggs? Rabbits don't even lay eggs. It would have been more suitable to have Easter Chickens.

FRIDAY
Yesterday's post was my idea of an April Fool's joke. Har de har har.
I went to had a reasonably eventful but uninteresting day today, travelling with my family around the Southern Highlands area. Australia's scenery is prettier than people give it credit for. We might not have enormous mountains or vast, clear lakes but our environment is worth visiting nonetheless.
The ramifications of yesterday's blog post will still be felt among faithful readers as I have felt the urge to change a few things about this blog. Starting from my next post:
Reporter: What do you think of western civilisation?
Gandhi: I think it would be a good idea.

- I will abandon my consistent MONDAY, TUESDAY (etc.) post titles, replacing them with more relevant headings.
- Actually that's about it. I don't really plan out my posts very well.
